There's only 3 more months left in 2023 and I thought of catching up on blogging about some events that Sincerely Nicole Media has been involved with this year. Let me throw back to that time in February, to a successful MEFeater’s NYFW Galentine’s Fashion Show…
Maiya the Don opened the show with her viral hit “Telfy”, rocking a money green fur. The bombshell, Lola Brooke debuted sleek blonde tresses when she hit the runway to perform her hit song, “Don’t Play With It”. Powered by Mielle Organics, the annual fashion show spotlighted three rising designers. Influencer and reality TV star, Dess Dior strutted down the runway in a bronze triangle bikini top with matching shorts and multicolored fur by designer LuLu James. According to the Lulu James Instagram page, the statement-making coat was crafted with 70+ skins. Celebrity makeup artist Akila Face closed out the runway with eye-popping makeup.
Pink Lucy Design House exhibited stylish silhouettes and colorful designs. She was followed by Rupal Banerjee (Ru by Rupal) who presented a modern and soft muted collection with trendy ready-to-wear pieces. For veteran designer Tiffany Walker, she hopes to continue breaking boundaries with her label Pink Lucy designs, serving a regal elegance through her collection, Elevation.
“You can expect to enter the world of Pink Lucy where everything is over the top and fabulous”. – Tiffany Walker
“Pink Lucy is the edge of glam – we push the envelope and celebrate the anatomy of a woman, every kind of woman.”
Galentine’s became a spectacle and brought out some of our favorite figures from the industry including Designer Brandon Blackwood, Rapper Cleotrapa and Designer Malachai Spivey. In the spirit of celebrating hip-hop at BKLYN Studios, Brooklyn rappers Lola Brooke and Maiya the Don graced the stage to represent their city. This year’s show was an authentic commemoration of fashion pioneers in Hip-Hop and how fashion continues to grow within the genre. The MeFeater’s Galentine’s show was an awesome way to celebrate the culture and elevate Black voices in fashion. I can’t wait for the next show! - Valese J
